British Craftmanship
& Design

Our founders, Annabel Astor, Sue Jones and Lucinda Waterhouse, came together from creative backgrounds in jewellery, fashion and faux flowers. Their eclectic skill sets mean they have an incredible eye for style and design, which translates into striking, timeless and elegant interiors.
Founders
The heart of OKA’s design process is travel and exploration, which is woven into every creation. All three of our founders have travelled extensively and it is on these trips that they have found inspiration from every corner of the earth, often in the most unexpected of places. From vintage markets to mountainous villages, nowhere is off-limits and everywhere holds the possibility to inspire something beautiful.

Craftsmanship

The inspiration and possibilities taken from these travels become the foundation of the designs. Sketches, cut-outs and moulds are created and recreated (and often recreated once more) in order to eventually become our best-selling and most-loved products.

Tuk Tuk

Then begins the tireless search for the most skilled craftsman or woman to take those designs and build, weave or paint the piece into existence. Whether it’s pottery or textiles, carpentry or glassware, we have scoured the globe to find the artisans who are best able to bring our designs to life.
