This season, in addition to OKA’s extensive and unique range of cushions, our three founders each had a pet project: to create their own capsule cushion collection. Taking Indian fabrics and paisley as her point of inspiration, Lucinda Waterhouse designed ‘The Kandini Collection’. The five cushion covers included in the range feature botanical prints, stripes and spots in vibrant green and purple hues, and can be seen in her ‘Another Day In Paradise’ look. Here, Lucinda tells us the origins of this collection.
“My collection was inspired by a beautiful old printed paisley scrap of fabric that I bought at an antique market, 30 years ago. It was very unusual, as paisleys are normally woven, so this fabric was rather avant-garde. I wanted to create a collection that sat well together but wasn’t too matchy-matchy.”
“The five separate cushion covers are tied together by the colours green and purple - a rare combination, but a match made in heaven. Each cushion is made from 100% linen, which makes it look and feel very refined. I adored creating these, so I hope you enjoy them too.”
