Lovely shelves. Would be improved if the shelves were adjustable, or just have some deeper ones at the bottom

Unfortunately the tall Ashmolean shelves would not fit in the house so I had to settle for the small version, with which I am happy. There was a small scratch on the top which I accepted.

Design lovely, size the perfect for for either side of our fireplace. Very elegant. Colour however a little disappointing. Flax is not represented well on website, where it looks natural/light sort of colour. It is pretty much grey. They have darkened our room considerably, which now looks more like a manhattan apartment than a country cottage. I suspect I will repaint at some point. Have kept because sizing and style is perfect and I have been searching for a long time.

Smart and versatile shelving. I just would have liked one taller shelf for big books and files.

Would rate as excellent because the shelves themselves are of a very good quality and lovely design, however the paintwork and colour were very poor.

I had to change the "flax" coloured shelves to the one with "undercoat only" because the flax did not look like an ivory/beige colour as seen on website, it was in fact a khaki colour! Also, the distressed look didn't quite look "distressed" it looked like a poor paint job instead with streaky brush strokes and the undercoat showing in between.

Good, solid, quality item with excellent finish. The only improvement I would make would be for most of the shelves (say all but one) to be adjustable. However, I knew that all the shelves were fixed when I bought the bookcases and I made alternative arrangements to accommodate my larger books.

Smart and a nice colour. Wish the shelves could be altered to take different sized books.
