This exquisite tray table, finished to resemble traditional Chinese porcelain, takes its name from the collective term for lories and lorikeets, which are types of parrot. During the Kangxi period, Chinese potters crafted porcelain parrots and lorikeets at the Imperial kilns, near Nanking. Made by highly-skilled artisans, using the finest quality porcelain, the Loriini could be used as a side table, or solely as decoration. A circular metal frame modernises the design, making it suitable for both classic and contemporary schemes.
