This majestic vase borrows its name from the Chinese Qinling Mountains, a tranquil idyll where ore was mined during the Zhou Dynasty. The ore was used to make bronze verdigris vases and pitchers, which were almost always adorned with intricately carved emblems. To liken this vase to early Chinese metalwork, we’ve painted it so it resembles verdigris, and decorated the body with Chinese emperors and calligraphy.
