In a leafy part of London, you’ll find this palette of smoky blues, rust oranges and calming greys set against a backdrop of green beyond the floor-to-ceiling Crittall doors. Each detail has been carefully considered, from the hint of metallic on the studded ottomans, mirrored in the coppery tones of the decorative dish, to the stripes on the side table that temper the bolder patterns of the fabrics around it.
Statement rugs appear throughout the property drawing the eye downwards and setting a stage for a rustic table on tapered legs. The vases create a centrepiece and the faux stems cascade downwards to really make an impact in the uncluttered room.
Layers of softness and pattern in the cushions and draped blankets ensure an inviting space. A touch of leopard print can elevate any space, especially when contrasted with other tones as you see here – such as the rust of the cushion, the blue of the chairs and hints of gold in the tables. A statement mirror against the grey of the wall not only reflects the light but also makes the room feel larger and grander, flanked by flickering candles for a dash of moody elegance.
