We want to create an environment where our people can thrive, with a culture built on care, respect and shared responsibility. This means investing in their development, promoting safe and healthy working conditions and providing accessible wellbeing support.

We work closely with our trusted suppliers, many of whom we have long-standing relationships with, and require all Tier 1 product suppliers to sign our Supplier Code of Conduct. We are continuing to strengthen our due diligence, increase third-party audit coverage and build greater visibility across our supply chain.

We are proud to be a female-founded business. Today, 74% of our colleagues identify as female, and we are working to increase diversity across our teams, including at leadership and management levels.

Designing through Innovation and Craftsmanship

At OKA, we design thoughtful pieces shaped by craftsmanship, quality and longevity, helping our customers create beautiful homes to be lived in and loved for years to come.

Our collections are brought to life by makers and suppliers around the world, whose skill, creativity and heritage techniques make each piece unique. By sharing more of their stories, we hope to give our customers a deeper understanding of the care and craftsmanship behind the pieces they bring into their homes.

We are also working to increase our use of certified and recycled materials, improve material traceability and introduce more circular thinking into the way we design our products and services.

Creating For a Better Planet

We believe beautiful design should be created with care for the planet and its resources. Our focus is on understanding our impact and taking practical steps to reduce it across our operations and value chain.

We measure our greenhouse gas emissions each year and have set a science-based target for reducing our Scope 1 and 2 emissions, aligned with limiting global warming to 1.5°C. As we work towards this target, we are improving energy efficiency across our operations and have switched to 100% renewable electricity. Alongside these efforts, we offset our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by supporting the Great Bear Forest Carbon Project in Canada.

We are also working to reduce waste, make better use of resources and increase recycling across our operations, finding practical ways to keep materials in use and minimise what is sent to landfill.
