Decorating with Christmas Greenery

Christmas decorating starts with the essentials: a tree, a wreath for the door and greenery to dress the rest of the home. This year, we're introducing our first collection of faux Christmas trees, wreaths and garlands, designed to be used year after year.

The collection includes pre-lit faux trees in three sizes, two wreaths and a eucalyptus garland, giving you plenty of ways to add greenery throughout the home without the upkeep of fresh foliage.

A Tree For Every Space

Our Christmas trees are pre-lit with warm white lights and designed to be shaped by hand, so you can arrange the branches to suit your space and decorations.

The Pre-Lit Christmas Tree - Potted is our smallest option. Set in a weighted pot, it’s easy to position and works particularly well in doorways, balconies and smaller outdoor spaces. For larger rooms, our new Pre-Lit Christmas Tree - 6ft and Pre-Lit Christmas Tree - 8ft make a more substantial centrepiece. A 6ft tree is well suited to rooms with standard-height ceilings, while the 8ft tree works well in vaulted rooms or stairways.

Think beyond the sitting room when choosing where to position your tree. A kitchen diner can bring a festive feel to everyday gatherings, while a bedroom tree makes a welcome addition to a guest or children’s room. Once it's in place, fan out the branches by hand, varying their direction as you go. This also creates space between the branches for hanging decorations.

A Warm Welcome

Our two new wreaths offer a choice of styles. The Eucalyptus Wreath in Pale Green is made up of full eucalyptus foliage and can be left unadorned or decorated with hydrangeas, roses or berries. The Berry Wreath in Red Garnet combines green foliage with clusters of rich red berries for a more traditional Christmas look.

Before hanging your wreath, separate the stems and branches by hand to open out the foliage and fill any gaps. Unlike fresh foliage, our wreaths don't need watering or trimming, so they can be brought out and hung up year after year.

Greenery to Dress The Home

Our Eucalyptus Garland is an easy way to add greenery beyond the tree. Its trailing shape works along a mantelpiece, down a staircase or across a dining table.

The pale green foliage can be left as it is or decorated with fairy lights, hydrangeas, roses and berries. For a fuller display, open out the individual stems and bring some forward to cover the central wire frame. Once arranged, the garland holds its shape throughout the season and can be stored and reused each Christmas.

Storing Your Christmas Greenery

Once the festivities are over, take a little care when packing away your Christmas greenery to keep it looking its best year after year. Remove decorations and fairy lights, then gently fold in the branches of your tree and bring the foliage of your garlands and wreaths back into shape. Store each piece in a cool, dry place, ideally in its original packaging or a suitable storage box to protect it from dust. When Christmas comes around again, simply unpack, reshape the branches and foliage, and arrange as before.
