A first for OKA, the Grisewood is an innovative floor lamp that behaves like a task lamp, designed to use over a desk or chair without taking up space on a surface. It’s markedly different to most floor lamps, most notably in its height, which is shorter to enable the lamp to illuminate the task at hand. Beautifully handmade, it complements our best-selling lighting collection of the same name, featuring an antique-brass frame with a weighted base that means the hand-formed metal shade can be turned in any direction. Better still, the lamp can be adjusted vertically or horizontally, making the design as clever as it is chic.

A Real Page-Turner

We started as a mail-order interiors company with three women bringing truly unique designs from the East to interiors-lovers in the West. Lady Annabel Astor, a serial entrepreneur, invited two friends along on a sourcing trip: Sue Jones, whose decorating pedigree includes time at Jasper Conran and Colefax and Fowler, and Lucinda Waterhouse, a skilled horticulturist.
