When the British summer surprises us with scorching sunny days and heatwaves, seek shelter underneath a large, shady garden parasol. This practical piece takes its name from Jonas Hanway, the first man to popularise umbrellas in England - which were, in fact, originally called Hanways. And, if it happens to be raining, this will also provide shelter for that purpose. Made in Italy, this updated Hanway Parasol is a slightly different shape and size to our plain versions, featuring our Areca palm pattern on the underside - printed in the UK - for those sitting beneath it to admire. It has four height settings that can be altered with a pulley system.
