We love mixing and matching patterns at OKA, so we created a chair that does just that - and it turned out, you loved it too. So here we have the reinvented Nomeko in Sofa form. Enjoy the contrasting patterns on the printed cotton dhurrie rug that upholsters its frame. The dhurrie is handwoven and hand screen-printed which lends each piece individual characteristics that add to their charm. The back legs and arms showcase pleasing curves that counteract the straight lines of the front legs, backrest and the black markings of the print.
Hand Printed
Artisanal Crafting Process
As a striking yellow print sofa, the Nomeko Opus brings warmth and personality to a neutral scheme without needing extra accessories. Its hand screen-printed dhurrie upholstery mixes bold, contrasting patterns and tones, making it an instant focal point that lifts an otherwise muted room and gives you a natural starting point for building a colour palette around it.
While it's not purely a black and white print sofa, the Nomeko Opus does feature striking black graphic markings woven through its multi-coloured print, so treat black as your grounding accent colour. Pair it with plain or textured cushions in one or two of the print's other tones, layer in natural materials like rattan or mango wood, and keep surrounding walls and larger furniture pieces simple so the sofa's pattern remains the star of the room.
Yes. This cotton sofa is upholstered in a hand-woven, hand screen-printed cotton dhurrie, a fabric traditionally valued for its hardwearing, flat-weave construction. Combined with a solid mango wood frame and foam-filled cushions, it's built to stand up to everyday family life, while the artisanal printing process means slight variations in the pattern only add to its individual character.
This 3 seater sofa on legs is supported by a solid mango wood frame with sculpted front and back legs, giving it a stable, well-balanced base. The curved back legs and arms contrast beautifully with the straight lines of the front legs and backrest, combining structural sturdiness with a distinctive silhouette.
As with any sofa on wooden legs, it's a good idea to use felt pads under the feet if placing it on hard flooring such as wood or tile, to prevent scuffing or scratching over time. This also makes it easier to reposition the sofa without dragging the legs across the floor.
Measuring 169cm wide, 75cm deep and 84cm high, the Nomeko Opus is a relatively compact 3-seater, making it well suited to smaller or medium-sized living rooms, snugs, or as a characterful second seating spot in an open-plan space. Because the print is so eye-catching, it works best with a little breathing room around it rather than being crowded by too many other patterned pieces.
Regular light vacuuming with an upholstery attachment will help keep the printed cotton dhurrie fresh and free of dust. Blot any spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing, as this helps prevent the print from smudging or fading unevenly. For a deeper clean, we'd recommend calling in a professional upholstery cleaning service to protect both the fabric and the hand-printed design.
