Spotlight On Our Recycled Wood Collection
Discover the fascinating origins of our recycled furniture pieces in this story that unites sustainability and artisanal skill.
With legs reminiscent of an hourglass, lending it its name - Tempus being the Latin for time - this range of tables is made from recycled elm. Our artisans work with repurposed wood sourced from the beams, old doors, walls and floors of derelict homes in China, some of which are more than 100 years old - steeping each piece in history. This Side Table is handmade and the recycled materials will result in each piece having individual characteristics. In contrast to some of our other reclaimed wood pieces, the Tempus withholds a lot of its material's original character and charm in the way that the wood has been put together with visible joins, colour and texture variation. It remains unstained for a natural finish.
