Named for its pillowy arms and cushioned backrest, Alora – Latin for ‘dreamer’ – invites you to curl up and stay a while. Who wouldn’t? The Alora Modular Sofa mirrors the comfort and style of the armchair in the same collection, with the added freedom to tailor it to your space. Choose from armless and corner units, left- and right-arm sections and chaises, then mix and match to create a layout that fits perfectly, even in more compact rooms. All pieces are upholstered in wide-herringbone fabric with height-adjustable feet in oak. The modules can be easily and securely attached to each other with the metal sofa-snap connectors: simply push the pieces together to interlock units and lift to separate again.

A Real Page-Turner

We started as a mail-order interiors company with three women bringing truly unique designs from the East to interiors-lovers in the West. Lady Annabel Astor, a serial entrepreneur, invited two friends along on a sourcing trip: Sue Jones, whose decorating pedigree includes time at Jasper Conran and Colefax and Fowler, and Lucinda Waterhouse, a skilled horticulturist.
