Ocellus Cushion Cover - Red Garnet

The Ocellus pattern is inspired by the age-old process of block printing hailing from India and traditionally depicting geometric symbols and motifs inspired by the natural world. The name "ocellus" comes from the Latin for "little eye," a fitting reference to the eye-like markings found on peacock feathers, which have long been regarded as symbols of nobility, dignity and rejuvenation across many cultures.

The peacock feather pattern on this red linen cushion used a combination of red block printing and turquoise hand embroidery using rich velvet thread. This gives each cushion a raised, tactile texture and individual character, as every piece is finished by hand.

The cover measures 51cm x 51cm. For the best plump, professional finish, we'd recommend sizing up slightly with a cushion pad — a 55cm insert is ideal for creating a plump and comfortable cushion.

This red linen cushion cover is made from pure linen, with the peacock-feather design picked out in luxurious velvet embroidery and finished with neat piped edging — a beautiful combination of textures that gives the design its opulent, tactile quality.

Due to the delicate hand embroidery and linen-velvet combination, this cushion cover is dry clean only. This helps preserve the integrity of the stitching and keeps the rich Red Garnet colourway looking its best over time.

Cushion pads are sold separately to our cushion covers. We recommend selecting a cushion insert slightly larger than the cushion cover to achieve the most plump and comfortable cushion.
