Timeless Interiors Trends to Welcome into Your Home for 2026

From organic shapes to hand-painted ceramics and natural textures, we believe in only crafting timeless designs that tap into enduring trends, meaning you can invest in pieces you don’t need to swap out again as fashions change. It’s the insider’s way of creating an effortlessly layered and curated scheme over time. As ever, our latest collection isn’t based around fickle tropes, but the appreciation of quality materials, expert craftsmanship and beautiful design.

Hand-painted Ceramics

Artisanal mastery from around the world is becoming increasingly celebrated – but it’s something we’ve been doing since the beginning and have continued to foster in the enduring relationships we’ve built with skilled makers. This season, traditional artisans in Jodhpur, India, have produced a remarkable selection of hand-painted furniture and homeware. Crafted in small workshops, master painters apply intricate detailing by hand – each stroke reflecting generations of confidence in their craft. The Lastura scallop design features across furniture; the Chinoiserie motif decorates accessories such as the Purdy lamp, tray and Varuna mirror; while the Joshuah design flows across both furniture and lighting. Elsewhere, new decorative and floral motifs appear on the Birbal side table and Seema mirror complemented by the Piraamid table lamp. And the hand-painted games table, together with hand-carved chess, backgammon and card pieces, brings playful craftsmanship to life. These are pieces with stories to tell that reflect culture, years of honed skills and natural talent.

Heirloom Decorations

Long gone are the days of throwaway decorations that festoon your tree one year and end up left in a box the next. Now, it’s all about heirloom pieces that mean something to you and can be handed down from generation to generation rather than discarded after the big day. From baubles to ornaments, we craft beautiful designs with enduring appeal to add a touch of festive magic to your home every Christmas, whether hanging from branches, popped in a bowl or decorating a table. Made from a combination of the finest materials – ceramic, marble, fabric, glass and metal – each one showcases expert craftsmanship with intricate details and luxurious finishes. Take flight with our Aderyn birds, complement your Chinoiserie with the Fenghuang hanging ornaments or go wild with the Asiatic lions.

Organic Shapes

Biophilia – incorporating natural elements to boost your health and wellbeing – has never been a bigger consideration when it comes to how we design our homes. Because of such, it’s informing everything from the materials pieces are crafted from to the forms they take, eschewing angular lines and sharp corners for organic curves and rounded edges. Take our new collection of Nephele crockery, for example, characterised by its cloud-like design and scalloped edges that take their cues from the natural world. Bring the outside in with everything from dinner plates and the serving platter to cereal bowls. Elsewhere, the recently-launchedBalabac dining table comprises a fluid silhouette that’s conducive to gathering round and entertaining with ease.

Elevated Games

Games are fast making a comeback as we continue to focus on activities that bring us together in the face of technology overload. Old-school classics are being dusted off and enjoyed by entire new generations and we’re discovering new ways to play in elevated designs that combine luxurious materials and beautiful craftsmanship. Case in point is our fold-away Capablanca games table featuring gold-coloured legs and a chequerboard top for chess or draughts. Better still, the table comes with an additional top with a felt-lined surface on one side for cards and a backgammon design on the other. The hand-carved pieces for all games are included. Prefer something portable? Play best of three with the pieces in our Bennet collection including sets for backgammon, solitaire and dominoes. All are hand-stitched by skilled artisans with taupe bases in debossed leather that’s exclusive to OKA with antique-brass detailing.

Natural Materials

From handwoven rattan and bamboo to silk and recycled wood, OKA has become synonymous with natural materials, whether in our Sikao rattan table lamp, bamboo photo frames, Argyle silk lampshadeorrecycled-elm Wendell display cabinet. While many others have just cottoned on to the sustainable, textural and visual credentials of such materials, we’ve been doing it since we started as a small mail-order interiors company. When we launched our first collectionit included designs made from high-quality, naturally-grown rattan – the same kind we use to this day – amongst other iconic pieces crafted from nature’s bounty. And with more natural materials than ever playing starring roles in our new collection, it’sarguably the most timeless trend there is.

Multifunctional designs

Our spaces have become increasingly versatile, so why wouldn’t our designs follow suit? At OKA, we’ve been thinking about how you live and work more than ever and crafting pieces that cater to contemporary lifestyles. Ottomans that can be a table one minute andextra seating the nextwhile concealing storage the whole time. Consoles that can be a serving station in the dining room or a dressing table in yourbedroom. A games table that can turn into a side table. Orbar stools that can cater to WFH or cocktail o’ clock. It’s all about intelligent designs that maximise your space.
